In çini, nothing is accidental. Every motif has a rhythm, every color a memory, every line a quiet devotion. The symmetry is deliberate yet organic, a balance between discipline and imagination.
Though drawn in pencil rather than glaze, it carries the same rhythm, deep blues unfolding like a sky, blossoms and leaves echoing old Anatolian gardens. Each stroke is a quiet conversation with a six-century-old tradition
Traditionally, çini plates were windows to worlds: stylized florals symbolizing renewal, turquoise and cobalt invoking protection, geometry offering harmony where life could not.
This plate is a circle of continuity.
A small universe of color and pattern.
An homage to ancient hands and a meditation of my own.
A reminder that beauty often lives in repetition, and in the quiet act of paying attention.
With this tile plate, the circle closes. Seven pieces now sit together, each one echo the other. All pieces find their rhythm, their story, their home and this final work gathers them elegantly.
