Sera Akkan is a Turkish artist based in İzmir, working primarily with coloured pencils. Her practice explores memory, identity, and contemporary life through hyperrealistic drawing. Inspired by everyday objects, local culture, and the beauty of ordinary moments, each collection grows from a simple idea into months of slow, detailed work. Rather than documenting reality, she uses realism as a way to question what we value, what we overlook, and what becomes worth remembering.
