Here, tea is more than a drink, it’s a currency.

Poured into delicate, tiny, tulip-shaped glasses called “ince belli” meaning “thin waist” this deep amber brew carries more than flavor. It carries untold stories, cherished memories and unfolding dramas.

I know people who drink ten glasses per day. At home, at work, in cafés and restaurants, tea is brewed in tall, double-stacked pots, always ready for the next pour. When your glass runs empty, someone will quietly refill it without a word, it’s never a question, it’s a given.

This piece itself is an offering, a small glass of warmth, a companion to endless conversations, and a gesture of silent hospitality.
